So I started working on a different layout for this site…one that I want to eventually make ‘standard’ for all of my sites, but I started changing graphics and colors and now I have a headache.
So I’m going to bed. Meh.
the cool stuff is done (the ajax, javascript stuff), so now it’s going to hinge on adjusting the stylesheets and colors. Maybe tomorrow. Or not…muhahaha.
Last night was the season premiere of ‘The Office’ on NBC. This is the start of the third season, and it followed through on last seasons heartbreaking cliffhanger.
It also introduced a few new characters and started off with a bang when Michael ‘outed’ poor Oscar. While some are saying that the episode was crass and relied on too many jokes at the expense of gays, I thought it was actually a very apt way to demonstrate how some people go WAY over the top trying to prove how comfortable they are with people of different orientations.
Anyway, below are some animated gifs of last nights show. Thanks to Aetrek over on SA for the images.
A local man, Scott McDaniel, had his face rocked off by ‘super band’ The Raconteurs, which consists of White Stripes frontman Jack White and a few other incredibly talented musicians.
The incident occurred at The Tabernacle (a converted church, now a concert hall) in Atlanta. The Raconteurs played for a whopping 80 minutes, durin which they performed nearly every song on their debut album and a few new tunes, as well as a cover of ‘Bang Bang’ (see video below), which was originally performed by Nancy Sinatra and was featured in the movie Kill Bill.
Whites scorching guitar and comparable voice were matched by Brendans equally powerful talents, and the crowd at the show was simply blown away by the raw power and tightness of the band.
Said McDaniel, who expects to regain both his hearing and his face soon, “Holy shit”.
This reporter recommends that if you get the chance to see this band live, that you do NOT miss it.
