Looking for some touch
5 12 2006There’s a website, KissThisGuy.com, where former BeoS god Scot Hacker documents misheard song lyrics. There are some very funny ones, and some are plain stupid.
Point is, however, that while ‘normal’ people screw up lyrics and songs and titles and so on, it’s not something one would expect from a professional journalist, much less the Associated Press. And yet, in an article about the 2006 Billboard awards, they do so, by mangling the title of one of the best rocks songs ever, ZZ Tops ‘Tush’.
I can only assume that the article was written by some fresh-outta-college kid who grew up without parents, a radio or the internet.

Also, Nickelback? Seriously, best album? Has Billboard not heard of the Raconteurs, or Pearl Jam or the Strokes, or Cat Power or the Killers or Eagles of Death Metal or Red Hot Chili Peppers or 1000 other bands that aren’t derivatives and/or Canadian?
