November 5th, 2005 | by scott |I recently saw the movie ‘Serenity’, based on the short lived Fox show ‘Firefly’. I was very impressed with it; the dialog was sharp and witty. The actors were believable and likable. And the whole ‘cowboys in space’ thing really drew me in.
So that same weekend, I acquired the series itself and over the course of the next week watched every episode, in their originally anticipated order (Fox originally broadcast them out of order and minus three episodes).
What an amazing show. Every episode is a mini-classic all its own. The way the characters and story built up in only 15 short (too short) episodes was something I haven’t seen in any TV show, ever.
I got the DVDs of the entire series yesterday from Amazon
