Ok, lets see. Where to start…

  • Visually very impressive - dark, graphic and realistic. Hi Chicago.
  • Bales ‘Batman voice’ grates on my nerves - even more than Michael Keatons did. It’s ok though, as the ‘Terminator 4′ trailer had me at hello.
  • Ledger was good…not worthy of all the buzz, but he played the part well against what he had shown to be capable of doing previously.
  • Harvey Dents ‘Two Face’ makeup was outstanding and creepy.
  • The hospital explosion was bad-ass and made me grin like a madman.
  • Maggie Gyllenhaal is way too weathered and weary to play Rachel. Shouldn’t be a problem in the future though, eh?

I’m reading now that it did over $155 million - a new record. Probably earned every penny, but I wonder what it would have pulled in had Ledger not died?
