So my new iPod is in Shanghai…I ordered the 60g black one the day after the 5th gen was announced. Sadly, I had gotten a 4th gen 60gb only a few weeks earlier.
I ended up selling it with a few accessories with only a minimum of a financial loss. Oh well.

Oh, and since I ordered direct from Apple, I did something I swore I would never do: get a custom inscription.

I kinda wimped out, as I had intended to be witty and such, but ended up going with one of my favorite song lyrics:
Breathe out, so I can breathe you in…hold you in.

That is, of course, from the Foo Fighters track ‘Everlong’. It’s just such a great lyric.

Anywho, I am looking forward to getting my video pod, especially since I will be going to the UK in December, and that flight can be filled with episodes of the Office or maybe I can finally watch season 1 of Lost, and have some idea what the hell everyone is talking about.

I can’t stop listening to Queens of the Stone Age.

Seriously; I have a playlist of their stuff on my iPod, and whether I am in the car or at work, I’ve had that playlist playing virtually non-stop for about a month now.

I remember a few years ago when ‘Songs for the Deaf’ came out that some critic somewhere said they were the best American band in action. I was not totally in agreement, but since I have this bizarre man crush on Dave Grohl, and he did the drumwork on that album, I let it slide.

But with ‘Lullabies to Paralyze’, and the acquisition of their previous albums (including the Kyuss stuff), I have to agree wholeheartedly.

My fav song on ‘LtP’: You’ve got a Killer Scene There, Man

This song is amazing. Simply amazing. And while it is my favorite, it isn’t necessarily the best. That honor may go to ‘Burn the Witch’ from a technical level.

Anyway, get the album or at least find somewhere to listen to it. Mmmk?

Ah crap. Which buzzword is this again? I can’t recall. Anyway, might as well use the domain since I own it. I guess I will just post random BS here and see if anyone cares enough to read it or respond to it.
