Seriously, what’s so bad about thinking that people can somehow manage to get along and that the political process doesn’t have to be so vulgar and demeaning?

“Some would say, let’s get everybody together, let’s get unified. The sky will open. (Crowd laughs). The light will come down. Celestial choirs will be singing. And everyone will know we should do the right thing and the world will be perfect.”

Even the most jaded commentators are saying that Hillary needs to put an end to the charade and do the bidding of her precious party.
The most astounding thing to me is that sheer volume of voters. In Wisconsin, Barack got more votes than EVERY OTHER REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE combined! And more than 15% over Hilary herself. And that has been a trend in the 22 states he has won…it’s unreal how many people he brings out.
Yeah, words mean nothing, right John? Whatever.
The Democratic vote in this election cycle has been dizzying in it’s ferocity. This election is destined to have the highest voter turnout in history.
It’s a wonderful thing to see.
On another night, I hope that Huckabee stays in the race until the bitter end. The longer that McCain is distracted, the more time Barack has to get the word out and find a way to make the war hero glean wear off a little.
Very exciting time to be an American.

Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. is bringing in a new celebrity: popular TV chef Emeril Lagasse.
The New York-based media and merchandising company founded by domesticity maven Martha Stewart announced Tuesday that it bought the rights to the Emeril Lagasse franchise of cookbooks, television shows and kitchen products for $45 million in cash and $5 million in stock at closing.
The final price could rise to up to $70 million if certain benchmarks are achieved.
The company did not acquire Emeril’s Homebase, which includes Lagasse’s 11 restaurants and corporate office.
Martha Stewart Living said the deal will “contribute immediately to our performance,” adding $8 million in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization. The acquired assets generated $14 million in revenue in 2007.
Martha Stewart Living expects the deal to close in the second quarter.
Lagasse joined the Food Network in 1993 and has hosted over 1,600 shows. His programs “The Essence of Emeril” and “Emeril Live” reach more than 85 million homes daily.

Infoworld has taken it upon itself to try to save Windows XP, which Microsoft plans to stop selling as of June 30th 2008. I (and over 100,000 other people evidently) feel that this decision is a bad move for number of reasons - most involving the fact that Vista is garbage.
Take a look at the petition and sign it if you are so inclined - the Windows you save may be your own.
