Apple released the MacBook today…it’s the replacement for the iBook, complete with the move to the Intel platform.
It’s a pretty damned nice looking machine, especially the glossy black.
Bad news is that works’ software won’t run on Intel yet, and that the black costs $200 more for no discernible reason.
Sigh.

So there has been a tremendous amount of discussion online about how the MBP gets EXTREMELY hot (some people report temps as high as 85 degrees on the top casing). But now we’re starting to learn why this is happening.

Apple BootCamp is new software, released today, that allows Intel Mac users to install Windows on their Macs easily and with no mess. It includes drivers for all of the mac hardware so it will work in Windows.
