This nonsense is OVER

Are you kidding me?

ST. PAUL, Minn. – John McCain’s campaign on Wednesday angrily called for an end to questions about its review of Sarah Palin’s background, deriding a “faux media scandal designed to destroy the first female Republican nominee” for vice president.

“This nonsense is over,” declared senior campaign adviser Steve Schmidt in a written statement.

The statement stood out for its admission that Palin is under siege — it condemns “this vetting controversy” — and for its attempt to blunt questions about how rigorously McCain and his campaign explored the background of a candidate who may get the nation’s second most powerful job. It also suggested that Palin is a victim of gender bias in the media.

“The McCain campaign will have no further comment about our long and thorough process,” Schmidt said, lashing out at “the old boys’ network” that he says runs media organizations.

Let’s rewrite this piece, shall we? Let us, as they say, break it down.

CHICAGO, IL. – Barack Obama’s campaign on Wednesday angrily called for an end to questions about its review of Jeremiah Wrights background, deriding a “faux media scandal designed to destroy the pastor of the Democratic nominee” for President.

“This nonsense is over,” declared senior campaign adviser David Plouffe in a written statement.

The statement stood out for its admission that Wright is under siege — it condemns “this goddamned America controversy” — and for its attempt to blunt questions about how rigorously Obama and his campaign explored the background of a pastor who is a veteran and once performed surgery on President Lyndon Johnson. It also suggested that Wright is a victim of religious bias in the media.

“The Obama campaign will have no further comment about our old and dear friend,” Plouffe said, lashing out at “the old boys’ network” that he says runs media organizations.

So, do you think the second one would have flown? Let’s hope this one doesn’t either. Pure bullshit.

Steve, no one said anything about the baby or the daughter. The point is the assumption that the media and voters should not ask questions or expect answers from the people running for our nations highest offices.
Have you seen Palin do an interview since she was announced? Has she made a press avail at all?

  2. Steve says:

    Yeah not really.

Big big difference here. The flock usually believes the same things as their pastor. If Barack believes what Wright believes, America is in BIG trouble if he gets elected.

If Palin’s daughter has a baby, it really won’t make a difference for the average taxpayer.

    Get it?
