Over the past (and next few) days, I’m making some changes to my online presence. I’ve decided that ‘mcdev’, which is a derivative of ‘McDev.com’ – which itself is short for ‘McDaniel Development’ – deserves more than just being a punchy handle online.
I’m going to turn it into what it was before – a technology site and persona that shares information, creates projects and helps solve tech problems. It is available at www.mcdev.com and will be modified soon to reflect it’s new mission.
For a few years though, it has been my twitter handle and I’ve used it to post some of my rants, raves, random musings and other stupid stuff. I’ll continue to do that, but under the username @DiaryOfABadMan. Moving forward @mcdev will be a serious (mostly) tech feed.
So, here’s a list of what’s changed, what accounts I use and which you should follow and why:
@McDev – technology news, thoughts, commentary and links as well as the feed for McDev.com
@BabyGotMac – Mac specific stuff and the feed for BabyGotMac.com
@DiaryOfaBadMan – My personal musings – probably not always quite politically correct, but if you know me, that’s likely ok.
@QteMe – the site for my QteMe project updates and news.
@MacLoot – the feed for my www.MacLoot.com site, which is getting a revamp.
I’ll be cleaning up the previous tweets from each account and customizing them all. Oh, and all of my former @mcdev tweets will be archived on scottmcdaniel.org somewhere – some if it is gold, Jerry…GOLD!
